The Carrara model for the Public Bathroom and Public Bathhouses were designed the same on the outside, but would have completely different interiors. In SketchUp, I have recreated the P. Bathhouse from the inside out. You can now compare the Public Bathhouse, which is the most recent addition to the 3D gallery, with the Public Bathroom, which was the previous addition to the 3D gallery.

When I made the Carrara model of the Public Bathroom, I was only able to create the outside structure of the bathroom. In SketchUp, I have created the entire model from the inside out. The only thing I left out were the curtains that are used on the individual stalls to give its occupant privacy.

The Chief's house has been redesigned with all the facades and reliefs it was supposed to originally have. I had great difficulty figuring out how to put the designs into Carrara and model them so that I would get the desired result. However this was not a difficult task to achieve in SketchUp, althoug it was quite time consuming. I'm quite pleased with the results. I still have to put the Chief's seat and inner chambers where he eats and sleeps but I didn't have the designed in Carrara and at the moment it is not necessary to have. It is completed to the point at which I can view it properly within the rest of the Cuna village.
Next week, I'll have a bunch of pics displaying the Cuna bathroom.

Sorry, for the very long delay in updating the website. I've got a lot of things going on. First, I started writing a 2nd series, that a friend of mine should be drawing. Also, writing the next 4 issues of "M", so that I can have a better updating schedule and produce more pages for the comic in a more timely manner.
Secondly I've been concentrating on redesigning the village of Cuna in the "M" comic with SketchUp 5 Pro. I originally designed it in Carrara. SketchUp is easier for me to create building and add art to it. So far I've been able to stay pretty close to the original designs I did in Carrara, but I have added details that I found very difficult to add in Carrara but quite easy to add in SketchUp. Although the details are not to difficult to add in SketchUp they are time consuming. This week I've added pics of the standard Cuna house and the main characters house with their rug and front facade on the house. When I did the pages for the 2nd issue I had to always add the rug and facade in Photoshop and now I won't have to ^_^ YEAH.
Next week I'll be adding the Chief's house and hopefully revamping the 3D section a little more. I want people to be able to compare the original Carrara version to the SketchUp version. I'm also looking into Blender which is totally free and seems to be quite powerful. I'll probably only use it for rendering. I plan on using SketchUp for all the architectural designs and Zbrush for character and organic designs. I can't wait for the new 2.5 Zbrush update, it looks AWESOME. It seems like certain things will be easier to do and it will have tons more 3D abilities. Mudbox should also be coming out at the end of year or beginning of this year and is BIG competition for Zbrush. Mudbox was used to make all the Weta movies I believe (Lord of the Rings, King Kong and more). I'm sure I'll be sticking with Zbrush since the next update is free and seems to have all the stuff that Mudbox was reporting to have last I checked. I should be updating more regularly now.

Sorry for taking so long in updating the website. I've been trying to get the "M" comic printed in color and had a couple bumps, mostly because I didn't know what I was getting into. I previously printed the comic in Black and white with very very small runs, about 100 to 200. A friend of mine printed them for me and so it was a very easy process and not that expensive. Going color can be extremely expensive I found. I wanted to have book 1 and 2 printed in time for San Diego and almost thought it wasn't going to happen. In the end, I was helped out greatly by a friend of a friend. I got the books just in time for San Diego. They looked GREAT! I'll have more details on the DMON website later. I posted the photos I took at the Convention in the EVENTS section. If I get a chance I'll be adding captions to them.

"M" issues 1 and 2 can now be read in complete online. Hopefully, I should have a contact page up soon. If you want to send me feedback or just want to get in touch with me either please sign my guestbook, or if you have a MySpace account hit me up with a message or comment on my page!
I posted dialogue for pages 21 - 30 of the 2nd issue. I also increased the size of the lettering IN ISSUE 1 OF "M" for easier reading. Next week will bring the dialogue for pages 31 - 40 in issue 2 of "M".
I posted dialogue for pages 11 - 20 of the 2nd issue. I also increased the size of the lettering for easier reading. I'll resize the 1st issues' dialogue next week to the new size I have the 2nd issue at. Next week will bring the dialogue for pages 21 - 30 in issue 2 of "M".
On May 16 I was finally able to get the 1st 2 issues of "M" to the printer. I had about 3 hours sleep in 2 days, but I got it to them. If it prints close to the hard copy of the comic that I gave the printer, then I'll be ecstatic! He guaranteed that I would get the copies in time for San Diego Comic Con., which means I'm definitely going to San Diego!!!! ^_^ I have a table in the Small Press area under Yume Comics. I'll be sharing the table with a friend Dave Quilez. I can't wait to go and also meet up with peeps I met there last year.
Sorry, for the delayed update, but I've been trying to get the 1st 2 issues printed and I've been hitting my head against the wall. I have everything just about ready but I need a little more info from the printer which I hope to get soon. I want to be able to have them printed for San Diego and I know if it takes much longer it may not happen.
I reposted the entire 1st issue with a couple changes in the dialogue. I also posted the 1st 10 pages of dialogue for the 2nd issue. Next week, I'll post 10 more pages of dialogue for the 2nd issue.
I'm going to try to have new emails up soon cuz I turned off the old ones. I was getting way too much spam in the old emails. Then people can tell me if they think the lettering is too small for the pages I'll try to make them bigger asap.
Last 4 pages finished and uploaded. WOOHOOO!!!

Another 3 nu pages finished and uploaded. I almost had the 4th page finished too, so by next week I'll try to have 5 pages to post.
NEW YORK COMIC-CON will be coming up this weekend. I'm only going on Saturday, so that I get more of the comic done. Hopefully that won't make it impossible to finish 5 pages for next week's update. I'll probably bring my camera and if I get the time I'll post the pics in the EVENTS section. There looks like there will be a lot of cool things going on. A couple of my friends should be meeting me there. I can't wait. I hope this convention will grow like the San Diego Comic-Con did. Then there will be 2 SUPER HUGE Cons to do each year!!

3 nu pages finished and uploaded. YESS I got more than 2 lousy pages done. Granted it is only 3 but it does mean I'm getting faster.
NEW YORK COMIC-CON will be coming up Feb. 24 - 26 and I will be attending, but I won't have a table this year. I plan to have a table next year. I wanted to have more things ready before I hit that show and since it is the 1st year, I figure I'll just go check it out and enjoy it.
I-CON 25 will be the 1st convention I'll be hitting this year. I didn't go to I-Con last year cuz I usually share the table, but didn't have someone to share it with and figured I'd come this year with more stuff.

I hope everyone had a good year in 2005 and that things get better in 2006! Page 10 is going to be the last page online in color and the rest will be gray-scaled. A total of 3 new pages are up. I'm starting to like the way I get certain things painted, but still have to work out the main style. I can't wait to begin the 3rd issue GRRR taking to long to paint this thing. The Basic Concept design for Dania's hunting gear and a 360 degree view of her have been added to the Concept Gallery. Generally, In this part of the "M" world women are not allowed to participate in the Hunt and therefore don't have hunting clothes. This will be another issue down the road that Dania's family has to face.
